Action Briefing: Preparing for the 2024 Legislative Session
The Real Cause, and Real Solution, to Homelessness in Huntsville
What’s causing rates of homelessness to rise in Huntsville? Circumstances such as poverty, mental illness, addiction, and disability certainly play a role. But there’s really one main cause of homelessness: Insufficient affordable housing. This one-hour class will present an accessible, 101-level overview of why the current solutions to homelessness aren’t working and won’t work and what the City of Huntsville, and you, can and should do instead.

Too much on the line to be quiet. The world must see that there are good people out there who are loving, kind, compassionate and strong, who know that we are 'all relations', who respect personal sovereignty and know that life is full of hard choices and suffering, but do their best to alleviate their neighbors' suffering. Come out on this day sponsored by womensmarch.com two days before the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. But this is Bigger than Roe.
“Another world is not only possible, it is coming. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.” Arundhati Roy
We must stand for this new world.
