My name is Sabrina Helm!

I am a Political Consultant and Activist currently based just outside Huntsville, Alabama. I’m an Army Brat and 1st generation American on my mother’s side. I grew up bouncing around military bases in America and Germany before my dad retired from Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

I consider myself a graduate of the Class of 2016 Politics since that happened and I realized I couldn’t just vote only for the president anymore. I had to do more!

I started out volunteering for the Doug Jones campaign in 2017. I knocked on so many doors my knuckles were bloody. I eventually worked up to being paid staff on Federal Congressional races. I even ran for office myself! Just the local Democratic Executive Committee but I eventually worked myself up the ranks from member, to youth chair, to secretary, to eventually Chair of the Morgan County Democratic Executive Committee from 2020-2022.

Other than politics, I am also an Evolutionary Biologist and have taught public school for over 16 years. I love working with young people and sparking curiosity. The best part of being a teacher is not teaching facts but teaching people to think and question and research their own answers. I truly feel generation Z will save us.

When I’m not working, I enjoy weightlifting to feel strong and baking crème brûlée. I love all things Halloween and have two beautiful black cats: Itsy Bit and Lilo!
